Show sold items on the eBay website
- Search for the item, using the brand and model number where you can.
- Open the filters. On a computer they are in the left-hand column; on a phone's browser tap Filter.
- Under Show only, tick Sold items. Sold prices appear in green.
- Narrow further by Condition so you compare like with like.
Show sold items in the eBay app
- Search for the item.
- Tap Filter.
- Turn on Sold items and apply.
Menu names can change between app versions, but the Sold items filter is usually in the same filter panel.
How far back the results go
The public sold filter shows recent sales, typically from about the last three months. If you sell on eBay, the research tools in Seller Hub can show a longer history. For trending items, the most recent few weeks matter most.
Read the results correctly
- Match the exact model and variant. Search results mix related items. Open listings to confirm the model number, size, capacity and edition.
- Match the condition. A new, sealed item and a used one should not be averaged together.
- Check what was included. A sale with the box, charger and accessories is not the same as the bare item.
- Look at postage. A low price with high postage and a higher price with free postage can mean the same total to the buyer.
- Watch for accepted offers. When a seller accepted a Best Offer, the original price may be shown crossed out and the accepted amount may not be shown. Treat those sales as "sold for less than this".
Turn sales into a price
Take five to ten recent sales of the same model in a similar condition. Drop the obvious outliers, then look at where most of them cluster. That cluster is your realistic range. Price toward the top for excellent condition, a complete set and strong photos; price toward the bottom if you want a quick sale. Then check what you keep after fees and postage.
When there are no sales
Rare items may have few or no recent sales. Look at similar models, older generations or other marketplaces, and use a wider range. Current listings still help: they show your competition, even though asking prices are not proof of value. Our guide to sold versus active listings covers this in more detail.
Where WorthAI fits
WorthAI identifies the item from a photo and shows the marketplace listings behind its estimate, labelled so you can see which evidence you are looking at. Use it to get the identity and a starting range fast, then confirm with your own checks before you buy or list.
